ObjectWebCon'06 Best Use Cases Contest

ObjectWeb launches the Awards for the Best Use Cases designation to be profiled at the 2006 ObjectWeb Annual Conference.

The OWCon06 Best Use Cases Contest is a challenge that allows any professional to file one or several submissions about real world use cases of ObjectWeb components and platforms. Then the ObjectWeb members will vote fore the best use case on the following categories:

• Enterprise Java: production use of ObjectWeb enterprise Java components and platforms
• ISV & Integration: commercial offering or development embedding some ObjectWeb components
• Jury's Special Prize: any use of ObjectWeb components and platforms

Award Designation Process

Award designation is a two step process:

• Nominee Designation: the jury will preselect the nomminees in each of the categories listed above.
• Award Winners Designation: the community will be polled through an online nomination process.

The detailed process for nominee designation is as follows:

• Propose candidates by completing the online submission form. You must provide a 150+ word abstract of the use case and contact information to get more information on the use case.
• You can propose one or several use cases about your own deployments of ObjectWeb components, or about that of third parties (think of your customers, prospects and partners). In this latter case, you must provide contact information for someone involved in the use case you submit.
• Submissions will be screened. The relevant ones will qualify to run in the contest as nominees. During screening, the organizers of ObjectWebCon'06 will get in touch with the contact person to collect details about the use case and assess it. You'll be mentioned as a referee for the use case. All information entered in the form will be kept confidential except to the contact person

If a use case you submitted wins, you'll be informed by email and you'll be able to take your gifts during the ObjectWebCon'06 event.

Announcement of Winners

For all winners of the Best Use Cases Awards, the project leaders of ObjectWeb components used, the integrator(s) and final user companies will be mentioned in public communications.

Criteria for qualification of candidates include (without being limited to): possibility to get more information from the contact person, relevance, reality of the use case, use in production, significant use of ObjectWeb components, clearance for public disclosure online and in print.

Note that you or your representative have to be present at the closing ceremony in order to win any prizes!
