- What is the name of your Open Source Project?
OW2 Consortium manages several Open Source projects. The one who want to use
JIRA are JOnAS, Easybeans, Exoplatform, XWiki, and even more. We'd like to
use JIRA for several Open Source projects.
2. What is it that you are doing?
The OW2 Consortium is an open source community committed to making available
to everyone the best and most reliable middleware technology. OW2 mission is
to develop open source code middleware and to foster a vibrant community and
business ecosystem. The OW2 Consortium was initiated on January 1, 2007
through the merger of ObjectWeb and Orientware, two leading open source
middleware communities of renown industry players, innovative start-ups,
prominent academic organizations and individuals from across the world.
3. What is the size of your development team?
about 500 developers and contributors.
4. Who is going to use your output?
It depends on the project:
- JOnAS is used in production for anyone wanting a Java EE certified platform
5. Have you gained support from other organisations?
OW2 is supported by "strategic members" which are companies dedicating resources to Open Sources projects.
6. Are you aiming to release a commercial product in the future?
The OW2 Consortium doesn't release commercial products but our members might.
