About The Program
What is your plan for dealing with disappearing students?
We cannot run after students if they are in another country…
Simply sending a ping mail to see if they are alive and if there is a response try to hook up again with them to start work again.
But we'll try to do our best to avoid that situation happens by following the best as possible the students.
What is your plan for dealing with disappearing mentors?
Having multiple mentors for a students is a warranty that the student will always have someone available for any issue he want to discuss.
What steps will you take to encourage students to interact with your project's community before, during and after the program?
- Having an initial discussion with him/her to make him/her more confident
- Have regular contacts during the program
- Show to the students that all the communication between members are going through some channels (mailing lists, wikis, jabber...)
What will you do to ensure that your accepted students stick with the project after GSoC concludes?
- Introduce them to the community
- Make them part of it (involvement)
