Solutions Linux 2007

Introduction

Nicknamed the “French Linux World”, SOLUTIONS LINUX is a major open source event and is a reference in GNU/Linux, open source and free software events.

For the 2007 edition of Solutions Linux, ObjectWeb will be present both in the conference program and in the expo :

  • Conference program : ObjectWeb will organize a one-day track on middleware. This session will show the latest technological development in ObjectWeb and give an overview of the implementation of those technologies in the industry or public administration. A specific online form is available below.
  • Solutions Linux Exhibition area : an ObjectWeb Village will be organized with ObjectWeb and some of its members and partners.

PRESENTATION DE LA JOURNEE
Les logiciels d’infrastructure distribuée ont pour vocation de faire communiquer des systèmes hétérogènes par nature. Avec l'avènement de la “Société de l'information”, leur impact technologique, économique et sociétal promet d'être chaque jour plus important. Leur développement sous forme de logiciel libre permet d'allier les exigences éthiques avec les impératifs économiques. Les membres du consortium ObjectWeb (devenu OW2 depuis le 01/01/2007) collaborent pour développer un écosystème d'affaires qui fasse du logiciel libre d’infrastructure une option crédible en entreprise. Dans ce domaine, ObjectWeb (OW2) est une des seules communautés professionnelles d'origine européenne à atteindre un rayonnement mondial.

Au cours de la journée, les membres de l'organisation couvriront les aspects techniques ainsi que les logiques d'affaires qui justifient leur implication dans ObjectWeb (OW2). Les présentations techniques (matinée) montreront les dernières avancées dans le logiciel libre d’infrastructure développé par le consortium. Des retours d'expérience (après-midi) donneront par ailleurs un aperçu des déploiements de ces technologies en production au sein de l'industrie ou de l'administration.

. Alain Boulze & Adrian Mos, ObjectWeb - Introduction ESBi : présentation de la problématique ESB et de la réponse apportée par ObjectWeb au travers de l’initiative ESBi.

. Adrien Louis, EBM Websourcing - Infrastructure distribuée de services basée sur JBI. Au-delà d’un simple conteneur JBI, PETALS, le projet ObjectWeb implémentant un ESB basé sur JBI, permet la création d’une véritable infrastructure de service distribuée.

. Goulven Le Jeune, BULL - Orchestra : orchestration de services avec BPEL. Cette session présentera Orchestra, la suite logicielle open source d’ObjectWeb pour l’Orchestration BPEL de Services Web ; l’intégration d’Orchestra dans la plateforme JBI Petals sera également discutée.

Session J2EE
. Benoit Pelletier, BULL et Awa Ouédraogo, SERLI - JASMINe, pour simplifier l'administration de grappes Java EE.
Cette présentation montrera comment réduire les erreurs de configuration et améliorer la réactivité en cas de dysfonctionnement en utilisant des fonctionnalités autonomes.

. Florent Benoit, BULL - Le conteneur EJB3 EasyBeans et OSGi : La combinaison parfaite.
Quels sont les avantages liés à l’utilisation des technologies OSGI de déploiement et d’assemblage dynamiques dans le cadre de EasyBeans, le nouveau conteneur EJB3 d’ObjectWeb ?.

. Laurent Guérin, SOGETI - Développement rapide d'applications AJAX / J2EE avec Telosys.
Les problématiques de productivité et de positionnement des IHM Web 2.0 (postes de travail hybrides, migration technologique, ...) seront abordés ici ainsi que les grands principes du projet ObjectWeb Telosys, notamment au travers d’une démonstration.

. Cédric Thomas, OW2 CEO - OW2 : Leading Open Source Middleware The OW2 Consortium was launched on January 1, 2007, as a result of the merge between ObjectWeb and Orientware. OW2 mission is to develop open source code middleware and to foster a vibrant community and business ecosystem.

Conferences sessions

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Topic 1: Technological developments on ObjectWeb projects
  • Topic 2 : Use-cases : application of ObjectWeb technologies in the industry or public administration
  • Topic 3 : Business models build around ObjectWeb projects

Talks can be given in French or English language, and will last 45 min.

Guideline to submit a proposal for the ObjectWeb Session

  • The title of the presentation.
  • A brief outline or abstract of the presentation.
  • For each speaker, the speaker name, title, company, professional street and email addresses, phone and fax numbers. Addresses, phone and fax numbers are for organization purposes only and will not be distributed to third parties without prior agreement.
  • A short biography of the proposed speaker showing relevant experience and qualification to speak on the proposed subject matter (not to exceed 300 words).
Submissions should be made online with the [CFP form] and might be written in French or English.
